Halloween and the new addition

Ezra and Travis had fun on Halloween. Even if Travis doesn't look like he's having fun, I promise he is. Travis didn't even care about trick or treating, he just wanted to run around the neighborhood with a kit kat in one hand and a little bottle of bubbles in the other. At every door, Ezra said, "Travis doesn't have a bucket, you can put his candy in mine." The kid's a con artist.

Yesterday we went to Moab and played on the sand dune. Ezra, Leslie and I jumped.

Travis wasn't interested

We also came home from Moab with a new addition to our family. In case anyone didn't know, we have been waiting for our third baby. Well, after months of waiting, we finally have...

a car big enough to fit the whole family when the baby finally comes!

That's right, we bought a suburban. It's a Mormon Assault Vehicle (MAV for short), and I can't wait to fill it to the gills.

Does this make him a pot head?

Travis likes to play with the pots and pans. He normally gets the lids out or plays with the smaller pots. One day I watched him wrestle this pot off the shelf and carry it around the corner. Intrigued, I followed, and this is what I found.

a year (or more) in brief

So we finally have internet in our home, so hopefully our blog will be updated more regularly.
The last year has been a productive one.
Starting last May-July 2008 - we lived in Utah for while waiting for my job to start. I climbed with our friend Wayne and we hung out with grandparents and cousins

August - December 2008
We settled into Shiprock, NM and started my new job as a dentist for the Indian Health Service on the Navajo Reservation. Highlights include The Shiprock, Chaco Canyon, Hovenweep Canyon, and too many other fun things to mention.
January - May 2009
We stayed in Shiprock as long as we could stand it, and as long as the government would let us, and then we moved to Cortez. Yea!! We went to Hawaii for the wedding of our friends Jon and Jen, Ezra learned to ride his bike with no training wheels, Megan got pregnant with our third (they say it's a girl), Travis started walking and getting into everything, and i started mountain biking around Cortez and in Moab with our cousin Clay.
This is Clay shredding the gnar.
June - October 2009
We went climbing in Maple canyon, played in Moab, Ezra started preschool and music class, i did a mountain bike race, Grandmas and grandpas came to visit, we went bouldering in Cortez, and much much more.
That's about it so far. We'll keep you posted.

Girls! All I really want is Girls!

So the results are in! Drumroll please...It's a girl! At least that's what a fuzzy picture taken by an ultrasound tech says. We have broken our streak and our third child will be a lady. Now we've just got to figure out what to name her.

The bun in the oven

Tommorrow we go to the ultrasound clinic to find out if we're having a boy or a girl. I have to say, that after having 2 boys, I don't know if I'll know what to do with a girl. Probably the same stuff I do with the boys, throw her in the air, swing her around, teach her potty humor...okay, I guess we'll make do either way.
Ezra is excited for the baby. He wants another baby brother so there will be 4 boys in our family. He's good at counting. He helped us choose a table at Wendy's last week when we were coming home from Utah by counting how many people are in our family and then counting chairs at the table. He's a good kid.

Staying Alive

So we're back. I just figured out how to get on my blog from my work computer (we still don't have internet at home.) It's been almost a year.

I won't try to recap the year, but right now things are going great. Megan is pregnant with our third, she is due in November. Ezra is 4, he has recently learned to ride his bike with no training wheels and he is as hilarious and imaginative as ever. Travis is into everything, it's amazing how kids can be so different. Ezra was so easy, Travis will destroy the house given the chance. I'm working on the Navajo reservation and we're living in Cortez, CO.

To fill the time, we go hiking, I bought a mountain bike and we take frequent trips around the area. I'll get some pics up later, but for now, here's one I took in Moab last year.
